I just received this product and was very disappointed. It is difficult to tell from the picture but the shade is rectangular and not square. If you are looking for a mission type square shade, this is not the pendant for you.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I really liked the pendants. In fact, I have three now. Be aware, though, that the shades are actually rectangular not square. It's kind of hard to tell that from some of the photos. Rectangles were what I wanted, so I was pleased.
