This is an attractive fixture and the halogen bulb gives off nice bright light. If you are hanging it over a counter or table, don't hang it too low--the brightness will bother your eyes. The stems are all the same size, and 3" stem on the fixture is not detachable; so there are not a lot of length options. I had to have mine cut.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Looks great over the kitchen island. Two pendants offer the right amount of lighting needed for the center area of the kitchen. My husband installed it with no problems.

When I put in a new contemporary kitchen in my house, I hung 8 of these lights from the cathedral ceiling. They provide exactly the lighting needed, and since they are on a dimmer switch, the amount of light can be easily controlled. I have received many compliments on them!
